The lake Veluwemeer has clean and clear water; very nice to swim in or drift around on a surfing board or inflatable boat. We also have a canoo or cayak to paddle around the island or cross to the other small island. At zeilschool De Randmeren (which is situated at Flevostrand, where our ferry sails to) it is possible to rent motor boats or sailing boats to explore the whole lake! Of course you are allowed to fish at the island, but you need a special Dutch fishing permit.

Children always enjoy themselves perfecly at the island with sand and water. Everywhere on the island there is adventure: an amazing climbing tree, an exciting path through the nature, a hill with a beautiful view to the lake, the sand field at the tipi’s. And a very relaxing thought for the parents: the children cannot walk away!

Chopping wood, make a fire, roast marshmallows, telling each other stories or playing the guitar whil enjoying a good glass of wine around a comfortable fire…can you picture this?!

In the large Tipi Lounge there are magazines, books, painting colours, games and outdoor games like jeu de boules, kubb, badminton, frisbee, football etc.

In July and August it is possible to pick delicious raspberries and blackberries straight from the nature!

In the surroundings of the island there is plenty to experience.

There is plenty to do around and on the lake Veluwemeer. Sail easily and quickly with the ferry to the mainland for a day out.

WATER SPORTS ON THE LAKE VELUWMEER

On the Flevoland side of the Veluwemeer you will find numerous beaches, cozy marinas, fishing opportunities and beautiful mooring places. Right at the beach the water is very shallow. Ideal for families with small children, surfers, rowing boats, pedal boats and canoes. Water skiers and speedboats have their own sailing areas.

DISCOVER LAKE VELUW BY BIKE OR BY FOOT

Walk or cycle through the polder land with its beautiful views and sunsets. Or cycle along the lake to the fishing towns of Harderwijk and Elburg, with their cozy terraces and shops. RELAX ON PARC FLEVOSTRAND

Parc Flevostrand offers excellent facilities: an extensive supermarket, a snack bar, a restaurant, a bar-bistro with a terrace, tennis courts, a launderette and bicycle rental. Moreover, there are nice beaches on and next to Flevostrand to enjoy the sun and the water. All CampSpirit guests can use the indoor and outdoor swimming pools of parc Flevostrand for free.
